Sunday is 45 minutes. Real life is the other six days. This podcast — and this little corner of the internet — exists to close that gap.
At MVF Church, we have a simple way of saying what we're about: Meet Jesus. Live free. Sunday mornings are where we lay out the vision — the sermon, the worship, the gathered family. But some of the best spiritual growth happens after the service, when the questions finally come up. Wait, what did he mean by that? How does that actually work in my marriage? What if I don't feel it?
TableTalk Discussions is our answer to those questions. It's a podcast where our pastors and friends of the church sit down — literally around a table — and keep talking. We take the weight of Sunday's message and pull it apart a little more. We ask the follow-up questions. We admit where we're still wrestling.
What makes this podcast different
There are a lot of great Christian podcasts. We didn't start this one to compete — we started it because we noticed that our church family kept having the same kinds of conversations in the lobby, over lunch, and in text threads after the service. TableTalk is that conversation, recorded.
Every episode pairs with a sermon
Each episode is tied to a specific Sunday message. You can watch the sermon on YouTube, then listen to the episode as a deeper dive. Or go the other way — hear the conversation first, and then go back to the source. Either works.
Your questions shape the show
We read real questions from listeners on the podcast. If something from Sunday (or from an episode) stuck with you, send it in. We'd rather answer a question you actually have than a hypothetical we made up.
The resources page is an extension, not an afterthought
Part of taking Scripture seriously is being willing to read widely, think carefully, and learn from the church across time. Our resources page pulls together books, articles, and passages we've mentioned on episodes — so you can keep pulling the thread.
